  • Drawings and doodles created on the collaborative canvas
  • Secret notes and messages sent between partners
  • Answers to relationship questions and "Who's More Likely" games
  • Anniversary dates and milestone information
  • Pokes, hearts, and other gestures sent between partners
• Usage Data: App interactions and feature usage for improving our service

2.2 Partner Data Access

Both you and your partner can view all shared content within your private relationship space. This includes all drawings, messages, game answers, and anniversary information. Only you and your connected partner have access to this data.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Service: Enable you to connect with your partner and share content
• Sync Data: Keep your shared content synchronized between you and your partner's devices
• Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience

We do not: Share your personal data with third parties, use it for advertising, or sell it to anyone.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase, Google's cloud database platform. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

• Access Control: Only you and your connected partner can access your shared data

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Apple App Store

When you download or purchase our app, you interact directly with Apple's App Store. Apple's privacy policy governs their collection and use of information during the download and purchase process.

5.2 No Third-Party Analytics

We do not use any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools.

6. Your Privacy Rights and Data Control

You have complete control over your data in Duet:

• Data Deletion: You can delete all your data directly from within the app at any time
• Account Closure: Closing your account will permanently delete all your data, including shared content with your partner
• Individual Content Deletion: You can delete specific messages, drawings, or other content items
• Data Access: You can view all your stored data within the app
• Data Portability: Contact us if you need to export your data
• Partner Independence: Your data deletion choices are independent of your partner's account

Important: When you delete shared content, it will be removed for both you and your partner. When you close your account, all shared data will be permanently deleted.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Duet is intended for users 17 years of age and older, as indicated in our App Store rating. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can investigate and delete such information.

The app's content and features are designed for mature relationships and are not appropriate for children.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored on Firebase servers, which may be located in different countries. Google Firebase complies with international data protection laws and provides appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers. By using Duet, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your residence for processing and storage.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Specifically:

• Active Accounts: Data is retained while your account remains active
• Account Deletion: When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days
• Inactive Accounts: Accounts inactive for more than 2 years may be deleted along with all associated data
• Legal Requirements: We may retain certain data longer if required by law

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information. Since we do not collect, use, or share personal information, these rights are not applicable to our service. However, we want to be transparent that no personal information is collected from any users, including California residents.

11. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since we do not process personal data, GDPR obligations related to data processing do not apply. Our privacy-by-design approach ensures full compliance with European privacy standards.
